SARAH RAY-FAY | Owner + Principal Interior Designer

Heading up the talented DesignBar team, Sarah Ray-Fay, holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Design from Arizona State University and has been practicing interior design since 1987. She has worked in Arizona, Texas, Colorado and the San Francisco Bay area, ultimately relocating to the Tahoe area. She brings design expertise combined with a bold yet refined sense of style and art to each project. An accomplished sculptor and painter, Sarah excels at seeing clients' needs and bringing their vision to life.

Sarah enjoys cooking and entertaining, skiing, hiking, and loves spending time with her family exploring the great outdoors of Tahoe.  

 

PHIL FAY | Co-Owner + Logistics Manager

Phil brings a unique combination of 10 years of international cargo freight delivery management with top-notch professional videography, delivering a keen eye for visual balance. He oversees a team of talented professionals, supporting complex installation and set-up situations with ease.

One of Phil's passions is sailing on Lake Tahoe with his family and enjoying the winter months of Truckee/Tahoe cutting mean lines in the snow at the area's best mountain resorts.

 
 

JANET TIGHT | Creative Director & Senior Designer

Janet's original education was a Fine Arts degree from University of Oregon. That skillset parlayed into clothing and textile design, and ultimately interiors. She completed UC Berkeley’s post graduate program in Interior Architecture and Interior Design, and has worked in both hospitality design and residential interiors in both the Bay Area and beyond for the past 15 years. Janet raised her 3 daughters on skis while her husband was a ski patrol at Sugar Bowl, and they are now living the dream of working and living in the mountains.  Janet likes bringing each client’s unique personality into the architecture of a space, whether that’s modern, traditional or eclectic. She loves challenging spaces and coming up with creative solutions that create a wonderful living environment for her clients.

 

GIGI McADAM | Interior Designer

Gigi grew up enjoying the outdoors of Northern California, camping, hiking, waterskiing, sailing, and skiing. To this day, she loves being outside skiing, hiking with her dog, and exploring the mountains and forests around Truckee.

After earning a BS in Economics and an MBA, Gigi began her professional career working on the corporate side of retail merchandising. After her youngest went off to kindergarten, she decided to follow her creative side, beginning a second career as a Landscape and Interior Designer. She loves creating outdoor spaces that entice families to go outside and play and interior spaces that inspire serenity.

 
 

KAMIE CICINELLI | General Manager

Kamie is an accomplished business leader with more than 20+ years of professional experience in Corporate, Non-Profit and Entrepreneurial management. She was part of the early tech expansion and a member of the startup team at Travelocity and soon after, Yahoo! Kamie has traveled to nearly 100 countries and six continents, where diverse cultures shaped her appreciation and passion for design. In addition to travel and the arts, Kamie is committed to volunteering, supporting literacy, and enjoying hearty laughter. She is an alum of Michigan State and Florida International who remains a loyal Spartan fan.

 
 

LILLY BRACHER | Interior Design Associate

Lilly was born and raised in the Truckee–Tahoe region, where her creative childhood and natural surroundings inspired her early passion for the arts and design. She spent much of her youth on job sites, building and creating with whatever materials she could find. Fun fact: Lilly learned how to use a drill before she knew how to ride a bike. She began expanding her creativity by refurbishing furniture and later renovating her own RV. These experiences solidified her desire to pursue a career in interior design.

Today, Lilly works as an Interior Design Associate, gaining valuable hands-on experience while simultaneously pursuing her degree in Architecture and Interior Design. Her role allows her to bridge academic knowledge with real-world application, deepening her understanding of both the creative and technical aspects of design.

Outside of her work at DesignBar and her studies, Lilly finds inspiration through travel, exploring diverse cultures, landscapes, and architectural styles. She also enjoys pottery, acrylic painting, and all things outdoors, as long as her puppy is by her side. 

 

MATTHEW OSGOOD | Professional Artist & Craftsman

Matthew studied painting and drawing at Otis Art Institute with additional studies at The Art Institute of Southern California in mold making, sculpture and wood work. He earned his BFA at the University of Utah with a focus on foundry work. His art reflects the beauty and richness of the world around him where he draws his inspiration. Creating deliberate brush strokes and scale, using complex colors, and variations in textures and perspective, allow him to fabricate three dimensional pieces for clients. He believes that craftsmanship and retaining the quality of hand-made kinetic art is important to creating beautiful things.

Matthew combines his intensive art studies with his love of all things visual to offer DesignBar customers and clients a unique perspective on how to assemble their environments.
